SOME BEST KEPT SECRET FUN ACTIVITIES IN CB:
SLEDDING HILL: The locals know, but few others do that there is a great snow sledding hill, maintained by the Town, located at the Nordic Center in CB, which the kids (and many adults) just love, and it is FREE! You can rent/borrow plastic sleds and disks, and have a ball.
ICE SKATING: Yep, right there at the Nordic Center, on a hockey rink sized facility, and FREE. Pretty cool! Rental skates available but the rink is free. Hours of operation are limited. Call 970-349-1707.
NORDIC CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING: World class, groomed tracks are available starting at the Nordic Center on the South edge of CB, with trails up into the "Bench" area and out to the meadows and surrounding areas. Day or season passes available, very inexpensive, they have rental skis, and you can enjoy some of the most beautiful, quiet, pristine views of the mountains and valleys. Beginners and experts alike.
SKATE BOARDING PARK: You guessed it, at the Nordic Center, and FREE. Concrete pipes and tons of fun for all skill levels.
TUBING HILL: Nearly free, this is a really fun winter activity after hours on the ski mountain, right next to the Silver Queen lift. Hours of operation are limited, so check availability.
PARKS: In CB and Mt CB, there are a number of beautiful, free public parks that are just delightful. Come for a walk or picnic or a change of pace. Enjoy!
